Locanda La Mandragola liegt beim Park der antiken Festung (aus 1353) "Rocca di Montestaffoli", in ruhiger Lage, wenige Meter von den belebten Stadtplätzen.
Locanda La Mandragola ist eine antike ganz und treu restaurierte Villa, die ihren Gäste acht Zimmer mit Bad und allem Komfort, so wie Frühstücksbüffet, bietet. Der große Garten, mit englischer Wiese und zwei zentralen Palmen aus vorigem Jahrhundert, wird von Lorbeeren, Erdbeerbäumen und Ginster umgeben, von antiken Rosen gefärbt und von der Jasminblüte parfümiert. Hier können die Gäste sich in der Sonne entspannen, mit Aussicht auf die Türme.
Die Besonderheit des Gasthauses ist die Turm-Dachterrasse, mit Aussicht auf das Elsa Tal, bis zu den Florentinen Hügeln. Von hier kann man das Morgengrauen oder den Sonnenuntergang, oder das Nachtpanorama (wenn der Mond zwischen den Türme aufgeht und die antiken Steine der Stadt erleuchtet) genießen.
