General Information
Borgo al Cerro enstand als Festunglandgut in einem der meistumkämpften Grenzgebiete zwischen der Guelfenstadt Florenz und der gibellinerstadt Siena. Die Mauern des Gutes lassen noch die ehemaligen bäuerlichen Ursprünge vermuten. Beim Wiederaufbau wurden Getreidespeicher, Heurschober, Ställe und Bauernhäuser liebevoll unter Berücksichtigung ihrer einstigen architektonischen Gegehenheiten in Ferienwohnungen umgestaltet, die jeweils mit doppelten Bädern, Heizung, eigenem Eingang und Privatgarten versehen sind. Die Wohnanlage ist von einem Park umgeben, in dem für die Feriengäste ein schönes Schwimmbad mit Unterwassermassage; ein Holzofen und ein Barbecue angelegt wurden. In der Ferienanlage befindet sich eine “Osteria”, in der die typische toskanische Küche mit ihren besonderen Weinen gekostet werden kann. Eine antike, mittelalterliche Straße mit eindrucksvollem Blick auf die Umgebung verbindet die Ferienanlage mit dem nur 800 m. entfernten Casole d’Elsa. Die bedeutendsten historischen Zentren der Toskana wie Florenz, Siena, San Gimignano, Volterra – und auch das Meer – können in kurzer Zeit von hier aus erreicht werden.
